January 29th, 2012: Midterm preparation and a sick day

Woke up to Babe telling me that he had made me a nice warm bubble bath and to relax and watch TV in the tub while he went to grab me some lunch. O: The perfect way to start a sunday, especially because I was feeling pretty sick. Babe came home with some sonics and in-n-out and I finished up the bath early because I was feeling a little light headed! Watched judy moody and then took a nap because my head was pounding while Babe took his brother and friend to the park. Woke up to some dinner and then afterwards dived right into my anthropology books): Took a small break to grab some coffee and Babe wanted a milkshake, now i’m sitting here trying to absorb information about the Galapagos, and Darwin and finches…. I just want this week to be over, and it’s barely even started.

Stressing out a bit because this month is going to be a SUPER busy month for me. So apologies in advance if I don’t get that many non-365 posts up in the coming days:/

Anonymous asked: How would you know if someone is truely your bestfriend

It depends on the relationship I guess. Bonds are built differently so each friendship that you could label as “best friend” have different ways of showing their commitment to each other.

January 28th, 2012: Goodbye San Jose

Woke up a little late today and waited for Diane to come over n_n Spent about an hour or so doing her makeup and talking. She was finished and ready to go so I started to pack! Babe and I headed to Tracy around 4-ish, but not without grabbing some starbucks first! An hour later we were in Tracy and waiting to go out to eat dinner:D Hokkaido buffet in San Mateo was DELICIOUS, I ate so much that I could hardly stand up straight when we were walking down to the car. Another hour drive home and now Babe and I are relaxing and watching Mr. Popper’s Penguins. Tomorrow will be just as relaxing I hope. Babe and I are planning a couple vacations that are coming up, excited!

The Sigma Shadow Palettes were very very popular at one point. Every single youtube guru was reviewing them and every viewer wanted them, but since then the excitement has died down and there’s a good reason too. The three different palettes (Dare, Flare and Bare) offer a great variety of beautiful colors, but the quality of them don’t outshine even many of my drugstore shadows. The pigmentation was ok, but the formula was very chalky and powdery. I couldn’t put ANY colors onto my lids without an extreme amount of fall out, and even when some of it did land on my eyes the shadow was chalky, patchy and extremely hard to blend. All in all, it’s just not something that I’d recommend.

January 27th, 2012: TGIF

Woke up earlier then usual today for work): Got there and finished a massive amount of cake orders before I took the weekend off. Babe picked Irene up and then picked me up and we ended up at the park n_n Hung out for a bit a enjoyed the nice weather! BK for a small dinner and then the fabric store. Now we’re back at home and watching White Collar… that’s all really!

I had done a post about Julep Nail Polishes a while back, and to be completely honest my opinion about their products have not changed, one bit. These nail polishes are amazing, end of story. They come in a variety of very unique colors, shades of certain colors that I have never seen any other company turn into a varnish! Over the past couple of months Julep has sent me a little over 10 polishes (I don’t have an exact number because all my nail polish are in their drawers!), and my favorite colors thus far have to be Cameron (the bright salmon pink) and Stella (the golden rod yellow).

Application of these polishes are easy and most of them only take one coat to get your nail fully covered. On a day to day basis I am very rough with my nails, at work and at home! If my nail polishes last more then a couple hours during the day it’s a keeper! So you could imagine my surprise when I ended my work shift with just a couple chips on a couple of fingers..

Keep your eyes peeled for a post that I’m doing about the lasting power of Julep polishes! I took a picture of my manicure every single day for a week and compiled it into one post to show you how well the varnish wears. Also, keep a look out for a post about their Maven program!

January 26th, 2012: Boring Day

Woke up and immediately got ready for work. Busy busy day at work, and I have to go in early tomorrow to finish a couple cake orders too! Post office had me on hold for a while, so I had to hang up and call back… and they answered instantly!): Dad picked me up and I spend a couple hours with my sister<3 Babe picked me up and surprised me with dinner, the men in my life do so much for me(: MY DAILY LOOK PACKAGE CAME IN THE MAIL, I can’t wait to do a review on their clothes for you! A little disappointed that they messed up on some of the colors though. A litttttle bit of shopping and then headed home. Going to bed early tonight, BYE!

Maybelline’s Color Sensational Lipstains. I picked up these babies on sale from CVS a while back while I was with Babe! 50% off, for the win(: If you’ve been following for at least a couple months now, you know and understand my infatuation with lip markers/ lip stains. These are no exception. If I could have, I would have picked up every single color but I contained myself and picked up colors that I don’t already have. (From left to right: Feelin’ Rosy, Bitten Berry, Wink of Pink, Cranberry Crush).

The pigmentation of these lip stains are amazing, we’re talkin’ deep bold colors! The lasting power of these are a little lacking though, I find that they fade very quickly and dry my lips just a bit… But in all honesty that’s nothing a little EOS didn’t fix! Keep in mind that reapplication is a must, about every three hours.

Have you guys tried this out? What are your thoughts, and what are your favorite colors?

January 25th, 2012: The Gym and a Fail Diet

I started my morning off on a good note, I started my diet today… and then failed. Working out was pretty nice today actually, I felt really relaxed after n_n School was school and I spent the afternoon/night at Irene’s house. OH! One of the teachers had the CUTEST dog running around the gym, she was precious! But Choco > Any Dog. Took a nice long nap at Irene’s house until Babe picked me up and now we’re home… most likely going to cuddle and watch some movies(:

Oryza Asiana Bistro has very quickly become one of Babe and my favorite restaurants, and it’s not just because Babe works there… ahem(: Oryza has just opened and you can find it behind Keihl’s and across from MAC! I honestly would not have noticed from the inside of the mall if Babe never pointed it out to me, even the people that we invite with us to go eat there have trouble finding it from the inside of the mall! The restaurant is actually very beautiful from the inside, a lot of wood detailing and it’s not like cheesecake factory where a lot of the seats are smooshed really close together. All the seating is isolated so you don’t have to worry about being put between two different sets of people… Oh! Did I mention the service? All the servers are so funny and sweet, and everyone is so attentive, don’t expect to EVER run low on your drink before the workers come rushing to refill it!

Anyway, lets talk about the food. It’s basically Asian food with a twist! Everything… literally everything, is delicious and is set at a very reasonable price! (Think red lobster pricing, but 5 star restaurant food, along with the presentation of it). My favorite appetizer is the Garlic fried chicken, I was expecting it to be a little oily and savory at first but I found it to be very crisp but not greasy and the seasoning made it taste very fresh, not weighed down and heavy from the batter!

If you guys are in the area and looking for a good place to eat for valentines day, give Oryza a try!
