January 3rd, 2012: Picnic and Dessert with Babe

We didn’t wake up as early as expected today, but THATS OK!(: We made an unnecessary trip to the DMV (they told us everything we needed to do was online), and then we headed to Los Gatos. First we stopped by Nothing Bundt Cake to grab a lemon and raspberry mini bundt cake, yum! Parked, and lugged our picnic basket out to the middle of the park by the fountain. I could not believe how many people were staring at our picnic basket, and commenting on it… it was as if picnic baskets were a long lost artifact and everyone was just rediscovering it. (so embarrassing for Babe and me!). We ate and then proceeded to Sur La Table for the second time this week (i’m obsessed), where Babe bought me a mini pie mold! 

Headed to crate and barrel at Santana Row after, the container store and Sur La Table there too! My favorite part of the day was dessert at Cocola! I can not get enough of french themed pastry shops and I have yet to try this one although it’s pretty close to where we live. Luckily babe and I got in and ordered our dessert before the big rush of people, we had such a hard time deciding but we finally settled with a Black Berry and White Chocolate mousse… yum! Now, Irene is on her way over with Spam… YAY!
