Dessert in Down Town LA is something that has been on my bucket list for quite some time, but to experience it with amazing friends, a wonderful boyfriend and my God Sister that i’ve missed for so long was the cherry on top of the cake. We drove the 40 minutes from Santa Ana into the city and I instantly fell in love. We met my God Sister at a dessert Cafe called Syrups! The atmosphere made me think of New York, the cafe was narrow, but two stories, black brick walls and mis matched white mugs on the wall with urban paintings. I really wish there were places like this in San Jose): We ordered a table full of delicious desserts (not all of them are pictured up there), three different types of waffles with lavender and chocolate ice cream and fresh fruit, Babe got a cheese cake with raspberry sauce, a rocky road crepe for me and Kathryne and Vincent got a chocolate cherry float! Everything was delicious and we spent over an hour and a half talking, catching up and munching on each other’s delicious food! I also took this opportunity to finally formally introduce Babe to Catherine. I can’t believe that it’s been over four and a half years and two of some of the most important people in in my life have yet to meet. Catherine and I have been close since the time when I still had a small crush on Babe, and she talked me through everything as our relationship grew and I fell in love. Although Disneyland was amazing, Syrups with my God sister was the highlight of my trip.
YUM! I’m craving...syrup now! Must try
